At the center of Frankenskates is the Laboratory, an interactive custom quad skate builder that helps skaters combine boots, plates, wheels, toe components, and accessories while accounting for component compatibility. Skaters can create, name, save, share, and purchase their own custom builds rather than being limited to traditional complete skate packages.

Frankenskates also extends beyond e-commerce. Where to Skate helps skaters discover roller rinks, skateparks, and public skating locations, while community reviews provide useful information about surfaces, skating styles, facilities, music, and the overall skating experience.
