Friends of Roots UK (FoRUK) is affiliated with Roots/Shorashim/Judur. FoRUK was constituted in 2021, with British trustees from Jewish, Muslim and Christian backgrounds, working collaboratively towards a joint vision of peace within the holy lands of Israel and Palestine. It has successfully  delivered a Ramadan,  Passover and Easter fundraiser to support the work of ROOTS in Israel and Palestine.

Roots/Shorashim/Judur is a grassroots initiative based in Judea & Samaria/the West Bank (also known as The Occupied Territories). It is a unique partnership of Palestinians and Israelis working together at a local level to bring about transformative change through mutual respect and understanding. Through dialogue they challenge inter communal assumptions within communities by  recognising one another’s common humanity, human rights and dignity. Roots/Shorashim/Judur operates the only joint Israeli-Palestinian community centre in the West Bank/Judea & Samaria (also known as The Occupied Territories). This space hosts social, religious, and educational activities since 2016, bringing together hundreds of Palestinians and Israelis who take personal responsibility for making change and transforming their communities from the grassroots up.
