Founded by Dr. Patrick Carnes, Gentle Path Press publishes books and resources for therapists and clients on the subject of process addictions, including sex addiction, eating disorders and financial disorders.

Some of our books include Facing the Shadow by Patrick Carnes, which has sold over 2 million copies internationally, and Mending a Shattered Heart: A Guide for Partners of Sex Addicts, co-authored by nine different experts in the field of sex addiction.

One of our newest products is the Recovery Start Kit, which is currently being used by both inpatient treatment centers and Certified Sex Addiction Therapists around the world. Its innovative task-centered approach has been known to be effective for years, but it is now backed by a study from Pine Grove Treatment Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, which showed that patients using the kit have dramatically decreased rates of relapse during the critical first six months after treatment for sexual addiction.
