Globally Harmonized System (GHS) Training
In today's global business environment, regulatory differences between countries can be a serious cause of extra work, delays and costs. In recognition of this, the United Nations has put forward a model called the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) to help business cut through these problems.
This revolutionary system will eventually become the standard for classification and hazard communication for:
•Workplace hazardous chemicals
•Transportation of dangerous goods
•Hazardous consumer products
Already, many countries have started to adopt these new standards, or are making preparations to do so. As this progresses, many current standards such as OSHA's hazard communication rules and WHMIS will be eliminated. Let ICC The Compliance Center help you prepare for this worldwide transformation with our many products and services already geared towards the new system.
The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) is forthcoming.
Many countries such as Japan and New Zealand have begun to implement the GHS, whereas the USA and Canada are projecting implementation in the upcoming years. Implementation of the GHS brings with it many changes, including changes to Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and labelling.
ICC The Compliance Center is prepared to help you get ready for the GHS. We encourage you to prepare NOW for these upcoming changes, so that when the GHS is implemented your SDSs will only require minor modifi cations for full compliance. Let us format your SDSs and prepare for the GHS compliance. When the GHS becomes law, you will be in line for the final update that is required
