National Group Comes to Sioux Falls For Free Fingerprinting Event

SIOUX FALLS, SD—July 27, 2011—"Keeping Kids Safe Project" is coming to Sioux Falls for the first time! This National child safety program tours the country providing FBI quality digital fingerprints to families. Globe University is sponsoring the free, fingerprinting session, Saturday, August 6 from 10-2pm.

“We are very excited to put together this public safety event for children,” says Criminal Justice Department Chair, Teresa Schulte. “I think it will be good fun for the whole family.  Globe University is dedicated to active community involvement.”

Organizations say the program’s commitment to helping families makes it one of the best programs in the country. A free-will donation is set up for the fingerprinting with all proceeds going to the South Dakota Heart Walk.


Also that day, children can sit in the driver’s seat at, ”Touch-A-Truck"-a free, family safety event. Children of all ages can climb, sit and play on a variety of trucks on display at 5101 S Broadband lane off 57th Street across from Globe University.

The free event features several different vehicles including: fire trucks, police cars, ambulance, a Sioux Falls school bus, emergency vehicles, construction, and farm equipment, and more.
