The Glory Tree is an independent, non-governmental, non-partisan project honoring America's 250th anniversary. We are building the world's tallest Christmas tree — a 250-foot illuminated steel structure wrapping more than one million LED lights — in Marble Falls, Texas, on the shores of the Colorado River. The tree is set to light on Thanksgiving weekend 2026 in a grand ceremony with live musical entertainment, alongside the city's beloved Walk of Lights.

The project was conceived and is led by two independent co-directors who looked at their country turning 250 and decided someone should build something extraordinary to mark it. No government agency commissioned it. No political party is behind it. This is a gift from the American people to America, built on private initiative, grassroots support, and the belief that Christmas still has the power to bring a divided country together.

At the heart of the Glory Tree is the ornament program: a national campaign to have one million people represented on the tree by Christmas. A single ornament can represent a family, a church congregation, a school, a university, or a business. When the tree lights on Thanksgiving weekend, every ornament will carry a name — a real person, a real community, a real place in American life.

The Glory Tree is pursuing the Guinness World Record for the tallest artificial Christmas tree ever constructed, surpassing the current record of 236.5 feet set in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2016.
