The Grid Earth Project is a non profit organization based in Austin Texas. We replace dangerous kerosene lamps with solar powered household lamps at no cost in underdeveloped areas. Our mission is to save lives and improve health, as well as educational and economic opportunities. Improving the quality of life and breaking the cycle of poverty.
One person burns to death every 21 seconds as a result of using kerosene as a source of household lighting, most of them are children, and it is completely avoidable. The Grid Earth Project is dedicated to eliminating this needless death and suffering.
