GROWBOX is a local startup urban farm project, transforming empty urban spaces into the street vertical farms that grow greens and vegetables. GROWBOX follows Vancouver food strategy to become the greenest city, to improve biodiversity, to use underutilized spaces, and, finally, to enhance the local food economy by creating jobs, new skills, and education to the local public. It engages the public by introducing an online system that allows seeing the growth of the plants and tracing the harvest online.
