About |
The Human–AI Futures Lab (HAF Lab) is an independent think tank exploring how artificial intelligence reshapes identity, ethics, and governance at India’s scale and beyond. Rooted in the Global South, the Lab produces working papers, applied studies, and roundtables that make AI both understandable to the public and accountable to policymakers.
What We Do
Working Papers & Briefs - Deep dives into AI agency, bias, and governance with a focus on India and the Global South.
Lab Notes - Short, accessible essays connecting AI to everyday life, identity, and society.
Pilots & Experiments - Applied studies testing AI in lived contexts (e.g., voice bias, recruitment fairness, AI in mental health).
Roundtables & Panels - Bringing together academics, policymakers, technologists, and citizens to debate AI’s human futures.
Education & Public Engagement - Workshops and toolkits that demystify AI for practitioners, youth, and the general public.
