About

HB Communications, Inc., founded in 1946 by Mackey Barron has spent the last 63 years providing innovative methods for collaborative communications.  Originally started as HB Motion Picture Services, then changed to HB Educational Systems in 1968 and later to HB Communications, the company’s recipe for consistent growth is the unique ability to provide expertise in a wide range of audio and visual technology.

From headquarters in Connecticut and offices in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Vermont and Ohio, HB has focused company growth by partnering with key manufacturers and insuring that our customers are supported by the best sales, engineering and service personnel.  With a staff of over 300 people, HB is proud to have a large team of manufacturer certified programmers, licensed technicians, and a significant number of InfoComm CTS-I and CTS-D certified people.  This staff stays ahead of the technology curves and offers the best solutions in systems integration, videoconferencing, distance learning, broadcast video, IP visual communications, digital signage and more.

Even during changing economic times, HB has seen growth in traditional markets and recently has seen a spike in the IP videoconferencing and digital signage markets.  HB’s investment in the “green building” initiative has also proven successful.  HB is keenly focused on opportunities to help customers cut costs and reduce their carbon footprint by centrally managing both AV and building energy assets.
