About

The main objective to to advise people how to stop getting dogs and cats stolen in Hoi An, although the advice should apply for everyone in Vietnam and elsewhere.

Hoi An Animal Welfare is a small group of expats and locals who wish to lower the regular sad stories of people who have been a victim of cat or dog theft. The site offers advice on what to do when you have a lost or stolen pet, such as where to report it and where to look.

There are cat and dog holding cells which are located just outside the city. There is a Google Map on the website showing where it is. Plus tips on how to visit (e.g. don't take a camera) and when is the best time to go.

There is an overview of how the dog and cat meat trade in Vietnam functions. Plus hope to ban cat and dog meat in Hoi An, Danang and possibly even the whole of Vietnam.
