About

Founded in 2001, HomeAid Atlanta is a nonprofit organization that builds and renovates multi-unit transitional housing facilities for homeless service agencies serving homeless families and individuals in the metro Atlanta area. HomeAid Atlanta is the designated charity of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, and is a local chapter of HomeAid America, a leading national provider of transitional housing for the temporarily homeless.

HomeAid Atlanta builds new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach.  This is accomplished through generous donations of construction services and materials from members of the homebuilding industry.

HomeAid Atlanta strives to improve the conditions of Atlanta's temporarily homeless families and individuals by focusing on increasing capacities at local transitional housing facilities, providing more homeless children, women and men with an opportunity to restore their lives. Transitional housing provides the temporarily homeless with safe, dignified living environments that blend into neighborhoods and offer life and job skills training programs promoting self-sufficiency.
