iCracked started like a lot of other companies: in a dorm room by starving college students trying to avoid the typical 9 to 5 job and lifestyle. And to put it simply, iCracked was born out of necessity because the Founder could no longer afford the pricey repairs associated with breaking his iPhone. Luckily, there were some friends on campus with the exact same problem. After repairing a few broken screens and water-damaged iPhones, word began to spread about his new, awesome service. Before we knew it, iCracked had grown into a national brand with over 200 locations, while also offering iPod Touch repair, and just recently, iPad repair, in addition to the original iPhone repair service.
After college **tear** we ignored the call to the typical job (40 hr weeks are so 2011, 80 hr ones are where it's at!), emptied the bank account, and moved up to Silicon Valley to pursue the dream of turning iCracked into a global repair network. We were fortunate enough to be in Y Combinator's winter class of 2012 and have been growing the core team as well as bringing on incredible iTechs around the world. These iTechs are professionally trained and, even better, they are mobile so they can come to your place of work or living, or simply meet you halfway and perform the repair in person in about 30 minutes.
With plans to expand to every major city in the world, iCracked is always looking to empower enterprising individuals looking to secure their financial future as iCracked's next iTech. iCracked licenses these iTechs and provides them iCracked's proprietary "business-in-a-box" model, which includes the iCracked name, all marketing materials, parts, tools, extras, etc. Our iTechs then source all of their parts and anything else directly from iCracked, which allows them to always have customers and inventory, as well as an extremely reliable corporate support system.
iCracked's second repair option, in the event that it does not have an iTech in a certain area, is for the customer to purchase one of iCracked's own proprietary, preassembled Do-It-Yourself Repair Kits, which include all of the necessary tools and highest quality parts so that a customer can perform their own repair. These DIY Kits also come with iCracked's own extremely detailed Repair Flowcharts and access to iCracked's professional repair videos that can be found on YouTube and are open to the public to watch.
iCracked finally provides its customers with the option to mail their iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to company headquarters, where their device will be repaired and shipped back out to the customer the same day it arrives.
