Ikthalion Press was born in 2006; the brainchild of author/publisher T. M. Moore. The name was adopted quite by accident as an idea. When a search for the name turned up a reference to a mad centaur poet named
Ikthalion, the concidence seemed serendipidous. We are an independent publisher and the quality of the books we produce is on a par or very close to those of "traditional" publishing houses.
We specialize in science fiction, fantasy and speculative fiction books along with books covering a variety of nonfiction subjects like mythology, philosophy, history and critical thought. We are currently publishing a series of science fantasy adventure novels written by
T. M. Moore called
Children of The Dragon. They are science fantasy action adventures and historical romances in the theme of the vampire as hero; stories of love and loss, adversity and triumph, and small critical windows onto the human condition. Our first nonfiction book,
A Book of Five Rings: A Practical Guide to Strategy by Miyamoto Musashi is published now and available for ordering online.
In the next year we will be publishing more books but we are still young and what we have produced represents a fraction of our potential.
