About

imperfecta is an art & design gallery focused on elevating the work and voices of women and minority artists. The gallery's driving belief is that nothing is perfect and that imperfections are what makes humans human. Imperfecta collects, shares and offers art that reflects this belief as well as design artefacts and wondrous heirlooms that bring beauty wherever they go.

As an art gallery, imperfecta showcases diverse fine art types - from visual art to sculptures, assemblages, interactive installations, conceptual art and art dolls. As a design space, the gallery's inventory includes jewelry, vessels, unique decorations, dinnerware and, occasionally, antique fabrics, furniture, and heirlooms. They also have a large collection of vintage art, design and photography books, which are available for purchase as well as reading in the comfort of the gallery.

While imperfecta 's catalogue is fully available online, the physical gallery is located in Oregon City (Oregon USA) in the 1910 annex of the historical Myers Building (1864). The gallery includes a number of collaborating artists and Gallery Artists, such as: Italian street artists Blub, Italian illustrator Marco Calvi and US artists Deborah Donelson, Jacquline Hurlbert, Richard and Jennifer Gillia Cutshall, Katherine DuBose, and Raphael Arar.

Each year, imperfecta  hosts a number of solo shows, thematic group shows, art talks and other pop up events. All  events are targeted at creating a sense of community - in the context of its local community but also more globally. Art talks are streamed live but also recorded for later viewing. All events are promoted on diverse social media platforms and through their mailing list.
