About

Founded in 2006, Insignia Health® is the industry leader in helping patients become more engaged and activated in managing their own health.  When people are better engaged and activated, they tend to become healthier and use health care resources more efficiently. When activation levels increase, health improves and health care utilization declines. It’s that simple.

Insignia Health’s products are powered by the Patient Activation Measure® (PAM®) assessment tool developed by University of Oregon Health Professor Judith Hibbard, Dr.Ph.  PAM uses a proven, tested question set to determine how “activated” individuals are in managing their health, offering key insights for better decision-making and resource allocation in the health care sector.

Insignia’s suite of products build on this knowledge of what motivates a patient to take, or not take, action, which helps our clients assess the level of an individual’s ability to make decisions and act on behaviors that affect health, and enabling them to develop targeted strategies to improve activation.

Today, Insignia’s web-based Flourish® platform combines the benefits of online education with the more personalized benefits of coaching, assisting with everything from disease prevention to chronic condition management. Insignia’s Coaching for Activation® program helps professionals tailor patient support for different levels of activation, recognizing that individuals possess differing levels of knowledge, skill and confidence in managing their health but that anyone can improve.
