Professional History

Jaimi Gordon formed Jaimi Gordon Public Relations, a public relations/marketing firm in 1997, after working for nearly a decade in communications. Ms. Gordon used her expertise in launching the opening of the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing, generating extensive pre-opening press for the property. In its one year of operation, Ms. Gordon was able to secure nearly 30 segments on local network news programs including an on-site, live two-hour piece by FOX Philadelphia. She worked closely with all local food and travel writers, as well as national entertainment and travel publications to promote the hotel, its restaurant and location. She was also responsible for the pre-opening and continued public relations efforts of SoleFood Restaurant and was able to secure its chef an opportunity to showcase his skills at the prestigious James Beard House in NYC in 2004.

Ms. Gordon has worked with various not for profit organizations including Congregation Kol Ami, Manayunk Development Corporation, MANNA, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts US Artists show, the HMS School for Children with Cerebral Palsy, COHMAR, an organization providing a wide array of mental retardation and behavioral health services for children and adults, Golden Slipper Charities, Covenant House Pennsylvania and St. Vincent’s Community Center.

Ms. Gordon has also used her skills to launch and promote Back Together, by Dr. Andrew Kirschner, The Velvet Rope and FourPlay, by author Brenda Thomas, Service This, by Adam Bailine and Michael Dall and Jane Austen in Scarsdale by Paula Marantz Cohen. She has also represented several local on-air talent personalities in their quest for regional exposure.

Previously, Ms. Gordon spent five years as a staff writer for the Main Line Times (Ardmore, Pennsylvania) where she covered all aspects of Radnor Township. For over a decade, Ms. Gordon wrote a weekly column for the Main Line Times. She served as assistant editor for several local publications including ADV Magazine and as a public relations assistant for Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel, where she was responsible for generating international press, as well as writing all collateral materials and acting as a media liaison. She has been involved in many citywide events on the behalf of her clients including the 2000 Republican National Convention, Sunoco Welcome America!, The Book and The Cook Festival and First Union Cyclefest. Ms. Gordon has generated local and national press for her clients including placement in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Men’s Health Magazine and on both The Romance Network and the History Channel.
