Jim Sackman is a Digital Transformation Specialist. He focuses on businesses that are impacted by the Internet and Internet Technologies. Said businesses are impacted by the way that customers find them, the way their products and services are delivered, and the way their employees are hired and managed. Transformation is coming to all businesses over time and it is important to be ahead of the change curve. Jim comes from the world of High Technology where he worked for both startups and multi-billion dollar organizations and created bottom line value wherever he has been. He is the former CTO of Advanced Fibre Communications - the company that supplied the first large scale Fiber To The Home network in the US as Verizon FiOS. His background is in Corporate Planning, Mergers and Acquisitions, Marketing, Sales and Operations. He has held positions at large companies like Siemens as well as startups like Red Condor.

He has served as an endowment Board Member for the Masters in Engineering program at Sonoma State University. This program was the first Engineering program North of the Golden Gate Bridge and is a public-private partnership to grow the High Technology in the North Bay.
