Don’t loose your memory stick and be an A.R.S.E.

USBStickfinder.com is launching a new web based service for the recovery of lost or misplaced USB memory sticks and MP3 players. From April 08 the service will provide on-line help to organisations and individuals finding themselves in the position of loosing a device providing an essential means of speedy recovery. The service helps maintain user anonymity, and is probably the only opportunity of recovering valuable and confidential information with either an electronic messaging system or full national UK FREEPOST recovery.

The need for this type of service is well documented; the British Computer Society reported as far back as 22nd December 2006 that 53 per cent of UK workers have lost portable devices such as mobiles, USB drives and MP3 players containing work-related information. Giving rise to the phrase ‘ARSE syndrome’, acknowledged as an Alcohol Related Security Emergency. Since the British public are regarded around the world as one of the most honest and trustworthy societies the success rate of a UK FREEPOST recovery service will no doubt exceed that experienced in the USA of over 70%. Unfortunately with the elimination of Lost Property offices at many UK Police Forces there is likely to be no other way for somebody finding a device to do something with it.

Proprietor John Kearns adds “USBStickfinder has been launched against a backdrop of yet another security scare concerning lost personal data held on USB memory sticks. Indeed this time it was my own local health authority in Merseyside that was in trouble, which only serves to reinforce the need for a recovery service such as that provided by USBStickfinder. USB memory sticks, MP3 players and iPods are now relatively cheap commodity items but the information they contain or the music downloads they store can be worth a considerable amount of money.”

The Basic USBStickfinder electronic messaging subscription service costs around 1p a day. The more comprehensive Extended subscription option with a FREEPOST recovery service can be had from as little as 3p a day. Both are available now.
