About

Founded in 1966, Fillmore Real Estate has grown to become New York City's largest privately owned and operated real estate company. The great success that Fillmore has enjoyed does not happen accidentally. It is a direct result of our dedication to excellence and our commitment to the people we serve.

With twenty offices staffed by more than three hundred professional, highly skilled people, the Fillmore company has the strength of a powerhouse while maintaining the intimate, neighborly type of service we pride ourselves on. After all, the way we have grown to be the biggest has been by treating every client as though they are the most important person who has ever walked through our doors. Yes, we're big, huge even, but we have never forgotten how important it is to take people one at a time and treat them with the same courtesy and respect with which we would like to be treated.

JOHN REINHARDT
President/Chief Executive Officer

John Reinhardt is the president and chief executive officer of Fillmore Real Estate, New York City's largest privately owned and operated residential and commercial real estate company. John provides the strategic leadership that has seen the company grow from 14 offices with 125 agents in 1993, when he first became president, to its current number of 18 offices and over 500 agents.

With a thorough understanding of the fluid and aggressive Brooklyn real estate market, John is constantly updating and refining the practices that enable Fillmore Real Estate to maintain its standing as one of the most respected brokerage firms in the country. Among John's many innovations are: the company's website, www.Fillmore.com, whose success is evidenced by the 2 million hits per month the site receives; the Prospect Management System, a Web-based tool which allows agents to maintain close communications with their clients; and the AgentDashboard extranet, an integrated online system that gives Fillmore agents unparalleled access to prospects, properties, company news, marketing materials, and much more. With the help of these innovative tools, Fillmore real estate agents consistently outperform other companies' salespeople. John credits the Prospect Management system with being one of the key reasons that properties listed with Fillmore are sold faster, and for higher amounts, than the average property listed by other brokers without a custom, integrated CRM solution.

Another key reason that Fillmore remains at the top of the Brooklyn real estate marketplace is the company's training system. John Reinhardt is a great proponent of continuing education, and has developed several innovative approaches to help Fillmore real estate agents succeed. All new Fillmore agents are trained at the "Fillmore Boot Camp", a 5-day course that gives them insight into the daily operations of a real estate office, the company's resources, and the best methods of using those resources to ensure their clients' satisfaction.

John Reinhardt also manages the company's marketing, advertising, and public-relations efforts. Through a variety of campaigns, he has ensured that Fillmore remains the premier choice of Brooklyn homeowners and new residents. The company's distinctive bright-orange-and-white signs can be seen throughout Brooklyn, with prominent billboards and newspaper articles adding to the recognition factor. The color choice is not an accident - orange is a positive emotional color, as well as outstanding against the urban background of Brooklyn brownstone and brick. John's innovations in the marketing field include: establishing an in-house marketing department that allowed Fillmore to be one of the first real estate brokerages in NYC to advertise consistently in community newspapers; creating Open House Weekend events which contributed to the company's strong sales throughout the 1980's and the early 1990's, when competitors could not withstand the market pressures; and a consistent public-image campaign that includes a variety of media - from highway billboards to interactive cable-TV listings.
John is most proud of Fillmore Real Estate's family environment that encourages the company to play a caring, nurturing role within the many communities of Brooklyn. Fillmore regularly contributes to a variety of local charities (including the New York branch of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children), sponsors community festivals (such as the annual Unity Showcase & Family Day Picnic and the Caribbean Day Parade), and donates to toy drives, awareness campaigns, and other specialized events.

A graduate of St. John's University, where he was the student body president, John resides in Brooklyn with his wife Patrice, son Philip and two young daughters.
