About

J. R. Eldridge was raised in the Church of England but lost his belief in his early teens. Despite being an atheist, he has a keen interest in the Bible, particularly textual criticism. Growing up, he was an avid reader, spending his evenings reading such books as the Discworld series and the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

He has been writing stories, parodies, and poetry since an early age but kept this as a hobby until recently. The inspiration for his current book, The MisreadBible: Genesis, came when writing joke Bible verses on Twitter. When his account gained moderate popularity, he moved on to writing parodies of Bible stories.
