JS LEE was adopted from South Korea into an Irish-Italian American family in the suburbs of Boston, MA, that grew to include six siblings—all of which were biological to her adoptive parents. Raised in an all white family in a predominantly white community, identity was always an internal struggle. She battled and disguised identity and abandonment issues throughout most of her life, while coping with the trauma in which this literary non-fiction book is about.

JS LEE also works as a professional digital, print, and mixed media designer. She’s written, sang, played, and recorded on six albums. She has three finished novels that she might publish in the near future. And in her spare time, she enjoys nature, painting, taking photos, vegan food, and appreciating animals.

She currently resides in the Bay Area of California with her husband and two cats.
