The Kaohsiung Computer Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") was established on April 27, 1984, comprising computer companies located in the Kaohsiung area. Its mission is to promote computer applications, boost economic development, foster unity within the industry, and enhance shared interests. In July 1984, the Association held the first Kaohsiung Computer Exhibition, marking a significant step forward in advancing information technology knowledge in the city. At its inception, the Association had 25 member companies, and thanks to the active participation and support of successive boards of directors and members, the number has grown steadily. By 2013, membership numbers had surpassed 3,800, making it the second-largest computer association in Taiwan.
