About

a little oasis – the secret ingredients
The idea of compact, self-contained rooms featuring luxurious fixtures and fittings, providing guests with a comfortable place to rest their heads and enjoy their surroundings, originated from the concept of yacht cabins at its basic form. Taking this to the next level in terms of technology and design, we came up with the nitenite brand – four star interiors combined with four star professional service, just on a miniature scale! Within each ‘cabin’, guests will find themselves in a calming and welcoming environment with room to manoeuvre and storage space and lots to look at! With cherry wood furnishings, leather headboard, standard size double bed with deluxe mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets and a 42” plasma screen in lieu of a window (but with live external views to the outside world!), all in a 6.8 square metre unit – our signature name “micro-boutique” is very evident! Each room features its own en-suite wet room with design fittings, such as heated mirror and powerful shower (toiletries are provided). There is a funky control panel which powers the mood lighting throughout the room, controls the air conditioning and has a speaker phone button through to Reception.

Aside from the great feedback we have on the room itself, people love the fact that we’re different on many levels. Whilst maintaining complete professionalism, all of our staff are really friendly and welcoming – something that is often absent today and can be very infuriating for paying guests! We go above and beyond to make sure that everyone coming through our doors has the best possible experience within the hotel, is fully equipped to enjoy the best that Birmingham has to offer and leaves the hotel with a smile after a memorable experience for all the right reasons!
What our guests are often surprised at is the high quality and chic interior design of the general area of the hotel. We are budget – but only on price! After paying such a reasonable rate, guests tend to expect to get what they pay for. With nitenite, you get much more! On walking into Reception, guests are pleasantly surprised at the fab design, sweeping spiral staircase, log burning fire, leather furniture, wooden floors and oversize designer lamps; all leading through to the adjacent quirky Deli – not your usual budget offering in the slightest. Add to that our fantastic location and it’s a winning formula! We’re smack bang right in the city centre, next to The Mailbox, minutes away from Broad Street, Brindleyplace, New Street Station and the main exhibition centres and concert halls. For business or leisure pursuits, there couldn’t be a better location for a stylish crash pad!

Finally, what really makes us unique is that nitenite has its very own character. From directional signs, info leaflets and literature throughout the hotel, to all of the marketing and branding material – nitenite’s cheeky persona and fun personality shines through. We confidently believe that a business does not have to be corporate in the stuffy sense of the word, but can provide a professional service with a wink and a smile. It’s all about the personal touch.

what’s the big idea?
Due to the way in which our hotel room are designed, we can operate within buildings that would not suit a traditional hotel; this delivers regeneration, maximises the potential of mixed use schemes, and enables the delivery of a great value hotel experience within a profitable business model.

nitenite™ is rolling out across the UK, Europe and into key city locations globally, and is seeking sites and development partners to speed this process. The team that developed the concept are adopting a flexible model to enhance opportunities for new openings. Buildings may be purchased or leased; hotels will be directly operated or run under a co-ownership arrangement. The concept employs a substantial element of off-site prefabrication, allowing for fast development, and high, uniform standards of internal finishes. nitenite™ is also happy to speak with potential investment partners – though the expansion plans are not dependant on additional funding.

Current projects include the design and build of hotels in Berlin and London; due to open 2008/09. The highly experienced procurement team is also presently researching various other sites around the world and meeting with potential partners and investors. Searches and negotiations are currently underway in the UK (London, Manchester, Bristol), Germany (Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg), Ireland (Dublin, Cork and Belfast), Austria (Vienna), Switzerland (Zurich), USA, Canada and Argentina (Buenos Aires). 2008 looks set to be a busy year for us and the global expansion of nitenite!
