About Savannah Educational Consultants
Savannah Educational Consultants (SEC) is a comprehensive academic advising and college planning firm based in Savannah, Georgia. With over 30 years of experience, our team provides expert guidance to students across Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and beyond. We specialize in helping students navigate the college admissions process, improve academic performance, and build skills that lead to lifelong success.
Our services are grounded in a personalized, student-centered approach. We work with families to understand each student’s unique strengths, goals, learning style, and aspirations. Then, we build a customized plan to help that student achieve academic excellence and gain admission to the colleges where they will thrive.
Services Offered
1. College Admissions Counseling
Our admissions specialists guide students through the entire college application process—from building a balanced college list to writing standout essays and preparing for interviews. Each student works one-on-one with a counselor to ensure deadlines are met and applications reflect their best selves.
Our 2024 cohort achieved a 100% college acceptance rate with over $1.5 million in scholarships awarded.
2. SAT/ACT Test Preparation and Academic Tutoring
We offer individualized and small-group test prep sessions for the SAT, ACT, PSAT, and other standardized exams. Our certified tutors also support students in core subjects such as math, science, English, and AP courses. Instruction is data-driven, focusing on skills that boost both confidence and performance.
3. ADHD and Executive Function Coaching
We work with students who struggle with focus, organization, time management, and academic planning. Our executive function coaches help students build habits and systems to succeed in school and life. This service is especially valuable for high school and college-bound students managing learning differences, ADHD, or high-stress schedules.
4. Psychoeducational Evaluations
Our licensed specialists conduct formal psychoeducational evaluations to assess learning challenges, ADHD, dyslexia, giftedness, and more. These comprehensive evaluations provide the documentation needed for academic accommodations (504 Plans, IEPs, extended test time) and help families better understand how their child learns.
5. Educational Planning for Special Populations
We support students with learning disabilities, twice-exceptional learners (2e), and those on the autism spectrum. Services include educational placement advising, collaboration with therapists and schools, and support for transition planning.
