Kidstruments Fund, Inc. (http://kidstrumentsfund.org), is a new Indiana not-for-profit corporation created by an 11-year old cellist, Joshua Honig. Josh started Kidstruments Fund when he found out there were kids who couldn’t afford to play in a school band or orchestra, because they couldn’t afford the instrument rental. Kidstruments accept contributions of cash and gently used band or orchestra instruments, and offers schools both grants for instrument rentals and used instruments. It coordinates with local music stores to refurbish used instruments and to offer reduced charitable rental rates.
