Kyle Thomas Glasser is the classic picture of what it means to work towards a dream.  In his short life, Kyle Thomas Glasser has demonstrated what it means to remain persistent, hope filled and to never stop reaching. Glasser’s future plans center around the goal of becoming a medical doctor. He dreams of this for one reason – to serve.

Kyle Thomas Glasser graduated from Brookwood High School in 2008 with Honors and Distinction.  Achieving an overall GPA of 3.96, Kyle Thomas Glasser added to that scholarship a breadth of involvement in extra curricular activities.  From the Brookwood Leadership Team to the arts and sports, Kyle Thomas Glasser was a standout. An established pianist and saxophonist, Glasser received numerous awards for his music at the state level. Kyle Thomas Glasser was also recognized at the national level for his music, achieving the coveted Gold Cup for Twelve Consecutive Years of Superior Ratings in Piano by the National Federation of Music Clubs.

In addition to music, Kyle Thomas Glasser was a member in good standing of the National Beta Club, Key Club and the National Spanish Honor Society. With his involvement in such organizations, Kyle Thomas Glasser received numerous accolades, including the AP Scholar with Distinction Award.  In addition, Kyle Thomas Glasser received the State of Georgia and University of Georgia Certificate of Merit Award.

Volunteering in the community during high school was a priority for Kyle Thomas Glasser.  While playing recreation baseball and basketball, Glasser also volunteered to assist the local Brookwood Football Association.  Putting aside other pursuits, Kyle Thomas Glasser volunteered his time to tutor mathematics to those in need of help. Glasser received numerous financial recognitions for his work including a HOPE Scholarship, UGA Charter Scholarship and the Lou Ann Caldwell Memorial Science Scholarship.

With all of this drive, Kyle Thomas Glasser never lost sight of what is important in his life – his faith.  As an active member of St. Marguerite Catholic Church, it would be Glasser's faith that would send him on the mission of a lifetime.  In May of 2010, Kyle Thomas Glasser volunteered for a major medical mission trip to Central America. Joining a team organized by International Service Learning, Kyle Thomas Glasser served alongside other volunteers giving medicine, medical supplies and medical attention to the peoples of Costa Rica and Nicaragua.  This trip fueled Glasser's aspirations to pursue a vocation in medicine.

Kyle Thomas Glasser's dedication, work and studies are focused towards his goal to serve others through the practice of medicine.  In preparation for the next chapter in this dream, Kyle Thomas Glasser is currently shadowing Dr. Jeff Traub in the Atlanta metropolitan area. This has provided Kyle Thomas Glasser with the opportunity to observe surgery, follow Dr. Traub on rounds, and serve with Dr. Traub during office hours.

Presently a senior at the University of Georgia, Kyle Thomas Glasser is an active member of Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership.  While pursuing a career in medical science, Kyle Thomas Glasser is a member in good standing of the American Medical Student Association, Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society and Honors Organization, Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology and the UGA Biology & Life Sciences Association.
