The Mediterranean island of Cyprus has only recently started to attract tourists who come to improve their English while enjoying the mild climate and innumerable, picturesque beaches during a language learning holiday.

Also known for being 'the birthplace of Aprhrodite', Cyprus offers a rich culture and fascinating history, going far beyond the ongoing wrangle between the Turkish and Greek side. A wide variety of excursions to traditional villages, archeological sites, museums, etc. is availalbe in the afternoons. Mornings are dedicated to studying.

The program caters to the adult learner who wants to improve his/her English for professional purposes. Courses offered include General English, Business English, English for the sports and fitness industry, for the hospitality and tourism industry, English for agro tourists, English for caregivers (doctors, nurses/careres, social workers, counselors, psychologists, therapists, conservationists), English for creators (photograohers, actors, journalists, artists).

The English Study Centre was founded in 1983 by Krini Askanis, originally from Britian, and is a well-established and highly reputable English language learning institute in a quiet residential neighborhood just outside Limassol, Cyprus.

Programs include the daily hotel-school transfer allowing students to sunbathe or explore to their heart's content after a productive morning 'at school'. Cyprus is Greek, English and Turkish speaking but having been under the rule of the British for over 100 years, their influence is still evident with the majority of inhabitants speaking very good English, allowing for ample practice outside the classroom.
