Lee Thomas chose to live in San Leandro because he wanted the best for his family. Now, he is running for City Council because he wants San Leandro to provide the best for all of our families. Lee believes San Leandro has incredible potential but wants to ensure our long-term stability by decreasing crime, proactively focusing on economic development, and strengthening local schools.

Lee will fight to: provide first responders with the officers and tools needed to make our community safer; make our downtown a busy, thriving area with outdoor dining and entertainment options; expand small business, high-tech and advanced manufacturing to provide quality jobs; create programs for our youth; and, strengthen the relationship between the city and our school districts.

After earning a BS in Organizational Behavior and Leadership, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration Lee dedicated his professional life to working with underserved youth and at-risk families. This experience combined with years of community leadership, serving on our Human Services Commission, the Marina Shoreline Citizen Advisory Committee, San Leandro’s Board of Zoning Adjustments, the Police Chief’s Advisory Board and as President of Floresta Homeowners Association, have prepared Lee to lead on the City Council.

Lee believes that together we can make San Leandro better.
