Lellan is disrupting the architectural and decorative lighting and controls market. Our products enable designers to create memorable, dynamic and interactive interior spaces. By tightly integrating the latest IoT, web and lighting technologies, Lellan makes it easy and cost-effective for a wide variety of businesses to engage and delight their customers via environments rich in interactive color, light and motion.

The Lellan DigitalCanvas is a fully integrated, turn-key hardware and software system that is easy to install and configure. We have engineered and manufactured the system from the ground up working closely with customers and industry experts. The DigitalCanvas consists of: a) lighting elements, b) power distribution, c) a wireless controller and d) customizable content and interactivity.

Our first lighting product, the SmartTile, is a one foot square panel that emits full-spectrum light from 36 independent cells. The ‘brains’ of the system is the SmartHub, a flexible wireless and web-enabled controller that sends out the signal at 20 frames per second and enables interactive input such as sound, motion sensing or responding to inputs from the web.

The DigitalCanvas is designed as a flexible and extendable platform, meaning customers can arrange from 1 to thousands or more SmartTiles as well as connect future Lellan lighting and sensing hardware products. The real power of the system, however, comes from the software-enabled interactivity and customization – meaning dynamic, light arranged in a pattern of the customer’s choosing. Examples include abstract art on the wall of a hotel lobby that is continuing in motion, a glass stairwell with a lighting scene that changes in response to people walking up or down, or a retail store that uses the DigitialCanvas to reinforce the seasonal design elements, color and branding throughout their store.
