Local artists come together under one roof for two weekends to exhibit their works. These artists will convert an Amish built barn on Country Pleasures Farm. The oldest organic farm in Maryland owned by Eric & Lori Rice. Two stories of art work will be on display October 12, 13, 14, 19, 20 & 21, 2012 from 10:00 - 5:00. Come sit on the wrap around deck and view the fall colors overlooking the Middletown valley.

This years artists are: Linda Harrison-Parsons - pastels, Homer Yost - sculpture, Marilu Tousignaut - scratchboard, Sarah Simpson - photography, Tracy Tousignaut Reed - photography and Beccy Lynch - jewelry. Along with these fine arts there will be small items just perfect for the holidays: fiber works, handmade books and small prints.

The artists will be available to talk about the techniques they use to create their work. Demonstrations will be on going throughout the two weekends. Friday, October 12th a plein air demonstration with soft pastels will be given by Linda Harrison-Parsons. Marilu Tousignaut will demonstrate how scratchboard is created using clay based board coating with black ink and a sharp tool is used to expose the white revealing the image. Our photographers will talk about working with digital cameras. There will be hands on community art for all to share.
