About

From the singing stage to the football arena, James Harris was destined to perform from an early age. Although being known more for his moves on the football field than on the stage, James wrote his first song, "All The Way", at a mere 15 years of age. This song lit the spark of a man destined for greatness, a man destined to allow his history to define his destiny, a man destined for marvelous blessing. This man we call "Marvelo". Raised in a God-fearing home in an otherwise crime riddled Southside Chicago, Marvelo's musical style was born. From the musical and life exposures at both his grandmother's larger, traditional church and his father's smaller, contemporary church to the experiences on the streets of Chicago – drugs, prostitution, gangs, and violence on the way to school – Marvelo's passion for music was born, his character formed, and his destiny paved. The feedback from these projects propelled Marvelo to pursue national recognition through such venues as the Arizona Idol competition. In 2006, Marvelo competed and finished 2nd place to Jordin Sparks, the 2006 American Idol Winner. And again, in 2007, he finished 3rd. He pursued the American Idol in Philadelphia, and was told by a judge he was "too professional". Marvelo took his "professionalism" to American Idol in 2008 and became one of 139 contestants to go to Hollywood Week. This experience built the confidence that would last a lifetime. During the Idol experiences, Marvelo's destiny dramatically unfolded. Aside from becoming a single father and an unsigned artist, Marvelo began to record music with many different producers and artists. But since numerous situations with companies were unable to provide him what he truely needed, Marvelo decided to re-brand his own music wit the help of partner DJ Ronnie Digital (Flip-Hop Ent. /A&R DJ's) to give you what you have always wanted,The Marvelous Music Co.
