About

Mazeredo, a native of Rio de Janeiro, has had her work shown internationally for thirty years.  Some of her permanent exhibits are in prominent public spaces in multiple cities in Brazil, in Paris (La Mairie du 8e Arrondissement) and in Miami.  She has established herself as one of the most socially conscious public artists in Brazil. The Instituto Mazeredo of Modern Art is a non-profit that the artist founded in Rio to promote arts and culture to impoverished youth.  For more information, visit: http://institutomazeredo.com

NYC Parks’ Art in the Parks program has consistently fostered the creation and installation of temporary public art in parks throughout the five boroughs. Since 1967, collaborations with arts organizations and artists have produced hundreds of public art projects in New York City parks. For more information visit www.nyc.gov/parks/art.
