About

Introducing Mechanism: Melodic Hard Rock from the Pacific Northwest.

Kurt Vonnegut once said “I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can’t see from the center” and it seems Pacific Northwest powerhouse band Mechanism takes the sentiment to heart. In the ongoing pursuit of creating exceptional music, the four members of Mechanism (Ryan Renfield, Tony DeLisio, Bobby D’Angelo, Saul Ashley) strive with each deliberate move to break new ground in both the writing/arranging of their songs and in their live performances on the stage.

Heavy. Dark. Intense. Three words that have been used to describe the band and their music. Three more would be: Rhythmic. Precise. Energetic. Anyone who has witnessed one of their numerous live outings, whether it be playing one of their own gigs or as the direct support for a National touring act, can attest to the very raw and almost animalistic energy Mechanism brings to each performance, which is a direct result of the near constant practice of the individuals and the professional stance they take regarding their craft.

Hard yet radio-friendly tunes pepper the 6 song EP and continue on to the upcoming, self titled full length album: if one didn’t know better, NATIONAL ACT could be sprinkled into any conversation in relation to the band and none would be wiser. It’s that level of professionalism that has won over so many fans from across the music spectrum and has allowed Mechanism to attain a rabid, large and loyal fan base throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Since their inception in 2007, Mechanism has been fortunate enough, through hard work and goodwill, to share the stage as direct support with world class national acts including: Sanctuary, Where Angels Suffer, Dokken, Lynch Mob, Brazilian metal gods Mindflow, Lizzy Borden, The Devin Townsend Project and Michael Schenker. Mechanism is also a very active part of the wonderful music community in the greater Seattle area and are proud to have shared the stage with nearly every one of the tops local acts in a similar genre.

Mechanism is very excited about the upcoming release of their full length album January 12th 2013 and feels its by far their best offering yet.

"The initial EP was great for what it was", says guitarist Tony DeLisio, "but this new album is a much better representation of what the band is all about. We finally have the songs and the right lineup to make the true spirit of Mechanism a reality".

Having laid a solid foundation within both the local music and fan communities throughout the greater Seattle area, Mechanism has positioned themselves as serious contenders for world wide exposure. The band is currently expanding their show schedule and fan base in Washington State, Oregon, California, Idaho and British Columbia as well as entertaining any opportunity that comes their way. Mechanism's unwavering dedication, steady consistency and professionalism has resulted in being well known for being a very friendly hard working band and are much sought after for high profile shows and direct support for touring national acts. Coming into 2013 Mechanism is well on their way to becoming one of the top metal bands in the Northwest.
