As a Personal Photo Organizer I help people organize digital & print photos, create ways to display them & create family legacies. Working with my client, I create the systems and methods for organizing those photos and memorabilia so that any photo can be found in minutes. We then decide how to preserve, protect, share and display those most precious memories.
I know there are people just like I was –old photos under the bed and in the closet, now taking pictures with a digital camera or a smart phone. The closet of today is the computer, and digital photos are as hard to locate as they were in the boxes under the bed. I used to get overwhelmed just thinking about trying to organize them. Now I help people with the same problem I used to have.
As the mother of a gay son, I have a strong passion for the LGBT community. I have been an advocate for marriage equality and I bring that into my work. I feel strongly that gay and lesbian parents have a unique opportunity to document this historic time in the community for their children, an opportunity to tell the story of their families for themselves and for the world to understand that a family is a family, whether headed by a mom and day, two moms or two dads.
I am a member of the Association of Personal Photo Organizers and have been organizing and working with photos since 2003. My passion is helping people get organized and create a legacy for their families.
My most recent projects include organizing 16,000 photos for a working mom with two small children and creating family legacy albums for a man whose family history dates back to the 11th century.
