About

In 2001 Mike built the Mike Klinger Music Technology Retreat Center ( pictured below) located 50 miles east of Portland, OR in the town of Carson, WA (current home of The Synthesis Midi Workshop). "It was lifetime dream come true for me", says Klinger as I always wanted a special place that music educators could come and study music technology in a peaceful setting located here in the beautiful Pacific NW. Music technology workshops are offered here in the summer months (June- September) and in the winter months (Feb-March). Private one on one retreats are also available anytime of the year (TBA). To date over 5000 students (mostly teachers) have taken his workshops. School District In-Services are also provided either here or at the school district's facility as the entire 12 station computer lab is extremely portable and can accomodate up to 24 students doubled up. In addition to the workshops and in-services, The Synthesis Midi Workshop offers special educational/theological pricing on music software and hardware to both indivuduals and institutions.
