The Miss Africa USA Scholarship Pageant is brought to you by the AWDF Inc (African Women's Development Foundation) a non-profit organization empowering women of African descent to contribute to humanity thru various platforms and humanitarian projects, especially in Africa where help is so badly needed.  

The pageant is an annual event that attracts Africans and friends of Africa from accross the United States of America, Africa and Europe in a grand cultural celebration of Africa.  
Young African women compete for the prestigious crown of Miss Africa USA through a showcase of talent, culture, poise and the beauty of wanting to make a difference and touch the lives of others.

Auditions and Preliminaries are held in several States accross America before the Finalists are chosen to represent their countries.  The delegates chosen for the finals convene in Georgia each year for the grand finale.

The 2008 event is scheduled for the weekend of  Nov. 1st 2008 at the Clayton County Peforming Arts Center in Jonesboro Ga.
