Most of our pickleball matches are played socially, it helps to have an easy-to-understand system for gauging your skill level and guiding your progress. That’s why we created the OPL Pickleball Rating System:

An OPL Rating is free and anyone can have a rating.
1. Track your match scores over time.
2. Knowing your Skill Level helps you improve.
3. Find and play in “open play” sessions at your local clubs and courts.
4. It’s likely the only pickleball rating you’ll ever need.

OPL Rating
The OPL Rating System from MYOPL is highly effective because it specifically addresses the recreational and “open play” market segment, which has historically been underserved by traditional, tournament-heavy rating systems.

Most rating systems (like DUPR or UTPR) traditionally prioritized tournament results, often leaving recreational pickleball players feeling like their daily games “didn’t count.” OPL changes this by giving players a dedicated score keeper to record recreational and pickup games played anytime, anywhere, at any court or club. This turns every social match into a meaningful data point for progress.

Friendly Leagues
