About

The North Carolina American Indian Health Board (NCAIHB) is an organization formed as a result of the efforts of many leaders from the NC Commission of Indian Affairs and the NC Department of Health and Human Services to address health disparities in NC’s Native population.  NCAIHB’s mission is to “focus on promoting quality health care and healthy lifestyles within American Indian families and communities in North Carolina through research, education, and advocacy” and serves the largest population of American Indians east of the Mississippi River.
