THE SHORT STORY
In 3 years, we've gone from a small box of parts to a packed warehouse and thousands of public and commercial customers across Canada.  We dream that this will one day become the kind of place we wish existed when we first started looking for parts in Canada.  We promise to provide not only top quality parts but competitive pricing, exemplary customer service, and ultra-fast order turnover times.

HOW WE BEGAN
In early 2014, Kamil Niedopytalski and Jonathan Beals discussed turning their mutual hobby of designing and building music gear into a business.  They had big dreams of developing "next gen" gear for the modern musician.  By the spring of that same year they had set up a website advertising their custom speakers cabinets.  For 6 months straight, they fielded more inquiries about selling parts than they did about their custom cabinet building.  That put Next Gen's manufacturing pursuits on hold, but it brought forth and interesting opportunity.

In December 2014, Jonathan took the plunge by ordering a few small boxes of parts to keep inventory on hand and sell to other builders in Canada.  In January 2015, he launched Next Gen's website to sell some parts to other businesses as well as to the public.  In the first year, Next Gen grew from those few small boxes of parts to nearly 1000 product skus and becoming Canada's #1 parts supplier.

By the end of 2016, the demand for Next Gen's products had grown out of control, requiring us to move to a larger warehouse facility.  With a growing staff and a dedication to making this everything we wished existed in the first place, our pace hasn't slowed.  We continue to be Canada's fastest growing and most diverse parts supplier for both our commercial customers and the public.

With a passion for the Canadian music industry, we're working our way towards several lofty goals:

OUR GOALS
1) Become the parts supplier Canada desperately needs: If you're like us, you love to DIY things and always have trouble sourcing parts within Canada.  Whether it is amp, cab, case, instrument, or pedal parts; We plan to have a top notch selection!  We add new products to our inventory every month and are always moving forward.  The more our sales grow, the more we can expand our inventory and will one day have everything you need under one roof.

At this point, we have outgrown the ability to manage requests manually.  If you contact us with your request, it is likely to just get lost in the mix.  Using the Customer Idea Portal is the best way to make your request become a reality.

We are very excited about this new feature and hope you take part.  It is an excellent way for you and other customers to band together and pull our business into a direction that best serves you!

2) Support Canadian businesses: There are countless full-time repair shops, luthiers, and boutique builders who are stuck ordering all of their supplies from multiple different suppliers, mostly across the border.  Nearly all of the ones we've spoken with dream of a reliable supplier in Canada so they don't have to deal with exchange rates or the hassles of shipping multiple large orders across the border.  The more we grow, the better our selection, the better our prices, and the better our ability to support full-time Canadian businesses with our wholesale discounts.  We even added a FREE Canadian luthier/tech directory to our site so people can easily find anyone for a much needed build or repair.

3) Bring manufacturing back to Canada: Aha!  The truth comes out.  We got into this business, not necessarily because we love retail/distribution, but because we love tinkering, designing, and building new and interesting things.  Maybe one day we'll get the chance to go back to our roots.  High quality gear, made in Canada!
