Wes Prankard, a 13 year old phianthropist, founded Northern Starfish to bring awareness to the inequitable conditions that exist between First Nations and non-aboriginal children. Wes is determined to make a difference by advocating for equity in education and healthcare and a playground for every remote northern community that doesn't have one.
Currently, Wes is campaigning to raise $500,000 to aid the housing crisis declared in Attawapiskat, Ontario October 2011
