Digital tools have become an integral part of business. We provide community participants with computer and digital resources needed in the professional world. The Oakland Digital Arts & Literacy Center focuses on Oakland young adults and professionals between the ages 18-35 who are in need of career development.
Through teaching computer and Internet literacy, the ODALC gives support and guidance enabling fledgling creative minds to bloom. We aim to provide a vehicle for expression and a voice for the up-and-coming residents of the City of Oakland.
ODALC calls for leaders of Silicon Valley and beyond to participate and contribute technical experience strengthening the image of the City as well as the future of its workforce.
In the current technology driven and ever-competitive work force, computer literacy is more important than ever.
ODALC is a body of young people; our board members and staff are active in the technology industry and we share special relationships with prominent people in the growing computer field.
Community members have access to lectures and seminars that pertain directly to their areas of interest; as well as provocative speakers who reflect their experience.
Participants discover computer literacy and digital arts training leading an active and informed role in community development.
