About

The fastest growing demographic in Canada, Aboriginal youth are creative, skilled and eager to learn. One Laptop per Child (OLPC) Canada seeks to bridge the digital divide and enhance education for Aboriginal youth by providing students with technological tools designed for creative, innovative, self-empowered learning.
To date, OLPC Canada has provided laptops and tablets to more than 8000 Aboriginal students 6-12 years of age in rural, remote and urban communities. The program is currently active in more than 30 Aboriginal educational initiatives located in 9 provinces and 2 territories. An additional 120+ communities have requested to participate in the program and OLPC Canada is currently seeking opportunities to expand our network with the help of sponsors.
