Student Wants To Break A World Record To Pay For University
Joseph Smith, 28 years old, a Marketing student at Minho University, in Braga – PT, wants to carry on studying but doesn’t have the means to do it.
He wants to break a world record for the photo album with the largest number of selfies in the world to pay for his university expenses.
For personal and family reasons he was forced to live alone several years ago and postpone his studies.
Not wanting to ask for bank loans and without a scholarship, he decided to find a way to support his dream.
Crowdfunding was the solution to launch his project ONE MILLION FACES BOOK which aims to gather in a single album the largest as possible number of selfies of people from all over the world who would like to participate and have their photo forever imprinted in history.
Whoever wants to contribute has to make a donation of any amount – there’s no minimum amount – chose and send the photo they want to be in the album.
The 10 highest donations and corresponding photos will be in the cover of the album, which will try to set the World Record.
The project will also contribute to a charitable cause.
A part of all donations will revert to an education cause.
The first organization to be supported will be AIDGLOBAL with an amount of $5000 that will go to building a library in Mozambique and buying books.
