LAGA Online, a division of Los Angeles Guitar Academy, was initially developed as a teaching aid in the form of a repertoire database for the students of Los Angeles Guitar Academy (founded 2005, Los Angeles).
As LAGA's presence on the internet and as the demand for lessons grew, a need for an online platform to reach students at distant locations became apparent.
Currently LAGA Online consists of seven on-demand programs that focus on classical guitar, flamenco guitar, fingerboard theory, pop guitar; and two live one-on-one teaching platforms, LAGA Live and LAGA Prep.
With over 2000 instructional videos, organized by skill sets and proficiency levels, LAGA Online offers a thorough and comprehensive teaching system that you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home and at your own pace.
The tutorials in each program are thoughtfully sequenced and supplemented with sheet music files, articles, tips, technical and musical comments. These lessons progress in small steps in order to provide you with the opportunity to master each new skill set.
The lessons are taught by the LAGA instructors, Dr. Emre Sabuncuoglu and Dr. Thomas Foster, who are not only concert artists who have performed extensively throughout the USA, the Americas and Europe, but also dedicated music educators.
