National Academy of Osteopathy is a private educational institution offering manual osteopathy program leading to a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP) in a four months condensed full time program or two part time ones (9 months and 3 years).

Osteopathy is a branch of hands-on manual medicine; very similar to chiropractic; that assess and treats neuromusculoskeletal conditions such as low back pain, neck pain, headaches, knee pain, etc.

There is zero unemployment rate in this profession as all osteopaths find employment. The average annual income of osteopaths is approximately $90,000; while hourly salary is about $30 to $40 per hour. All auto insurers in Ontario and most extended health plans cover osteopathic services.

NAO received license to operate from province of Ontario and also the Canadian government. NAO has just been fully accredited by Council on Manual Osteopathy Education and as such our future graduates are able to sit for exams administered by Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining Board.

NAO graduates and can open their private clinic or work as employees in chiropractic, physiotherapy, or rehabilitation clinics.

There are 7 osteopathy colleges in Canada and approximately 1000 osteopaths in Canada and 67,000 in USA. In USA osteopaths can also perform surgery & prescribe medications. In Canada they can only offer manual hands-on treatment.

Minimum entrance requirement is a grade 12 high school diploma. NAO tuition is $15,820 for high school grade 12 graduates. For students with previous health background; the tuition is $10,210.

Students can receive loans of up to $10,000.
