About

Since 1989, it has been our vision that Orange County becomes a community where no one need experience hunger or homelessness. As a nonprofit, non-sectarian organization dedicated to helping the under-employed, the unemployed, households in crisis and the homeless, South County Outreach makes a direct and positive impact on our community.

Annually, South County Outreach assists some 7,000 families through more than 50,000 services.  Sadly, a great deal of the people that need our help are children.  Almost half of those we serve are children. In 2016, South County Outreach distributed almost 800,000 lbs. of food, housed approximately 30 homeless families, taught computer skills to more than 500 underemployed and unemployed people and provided over $53,000 in rental or utility assistance. We closed the year with a positive balance, and we proud to have approximately 50,000 hours of volunteer support.
