About

Petronor is a privately owned company with headquarters in Dubai, UAE. The company was founded in 2001 to provide services to the oil and gas industry in the Middle East and Africa with a specific focus on Iraq.

Petronor is focused on building a profitable business based on strong relationships and outstanding service. Key Petronor staff have had a professional relationship with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil (MoO), South Oil Company (SOC) and North Oil Company (NOC) since the early 1980’s.

Petronor has secured the support of the Iraq Ministry of Oil to build and operate oilfield supply bases in Iraq. The Ministry supports the plans and has formed a committee to facilitate the establishment of the bases. In February 2009, Petronor signed a contract with South Oil Company for the first base in the south of Iraq. The first phase of the project is under way in Basrah where South Oil Company has approved the allocation of land of approximately 300,000 square meters for the first stage.

The OFS base is called "Iraq Energy City" and will include include offices, workshops and storage yards for long-term rent or lease. The base will include a compound with housing and will have accommodations, recreational facilities, utilities and communications. Security will be an integral part of the operation. The objective is to create a safe, clean and efficient working environment for the oil industry in Iraq.

The OFS Base will cater to the oil industry needs and be open for both oil companies and oilfield service providers and their subcontractors.
