PinkPlanets, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded in September 2011 by philanthropist, Ulivia Gilbert. The mission of the organization is to empower adolescent females including their families with success factors through education, teamwork and self-awareness in the North Texas area. The organization’s programs are based on Positive Youth Development (PYD) principles which focuses on individual strengths that help prepare youth for adulthood. By partnering with local schools, businesses and community leaders, PinkPlanets, Inc.’ goal is to foster relationships with girls that improve the likelihood of being successful despite cultural or community barriers. The organization offers a variety of program activities including but not limited to workshops, classes, events and community involvement.
