Plexon’s customers represent some of the most progressive, domestic and international academic facilities, research hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and governmental laboratories. Based on research utilizing Plexon products, those labs have published thousands of articles – a great many of are found on the pages of neuroscience’s most prestigious peer-reviewed journals such as Science, Nature and Neuron.

Founded in 1983 in Dallas, Texas by Harvey Wiggins, Plexon (under the initial name of Spectrum Scientific) has grown from a one-person shop to a full team of innovative engineers, biophysicists and neuroscientists with highly specialized expertise focused entirely on neuroscience research. Over the years, Plexon’s unwavering commitment to our customers and the research industry has resulted in numerous corporate awards for customer satisfaction and impressive growth. In the summer of 2011, that unfettered commitment to our customers – along with significant growth – led Plexon to open an office in Brussels, Belgium.

Not only is Plexon recognized for our dependable, high quality products, but we are also uniquely known for the industry’s only Annual Neurophysiology Workshop. Researchers from around the world gather in Dallas each spring to participate in a comprehensive, hands-on series of workshops and exercises spanning hardware and software. Attendees cultivate their skills, network with other researchers and trade best practice approaches while experiencing unlimited, personal access to the Plexon support team. The Annual Neurophysiology Workshop is continued proof of Plexon’s long-term commitment to researchers and the advancement of science.

Harvey and the technology available through Plexon continue to be a driving force in the industry. Following 15 years of initial research and development, compounded by almost 30 years of commercial experience around the globe, they remain steadfast to serving researchers exclusively.
